Are you interested in studying Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics at a Canadian University? Then this is the scholarship for you! In order to become a Schulich Leader, one must be a Schulich Leader Nominee enrolling in a STEM -Science, Techonology, Engineering or Mathematics faculty at a minimum of one of 20 designated Canadian Universities selected to participate in Schulich Leader Scholarships in the Fall of 2015.


To be eligible you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada and possess at least two of the three following attributes:

  • Exceptional high academic grades
  • Demonstrated leadership in the community , business or provided evidence of entrepreneurial talent
  • Financial need

$5000 Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship

The Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship (PTES) is a $5,000 annual scholarship that recognizes exceptional Grade 12 students planning to enter the field of teaching. The PTES will be awarded to 20 graduating students intending to enter a BC faculty of education program. This new scholarship will support outstanding students in pursuing a career path in teaching. Top 20 under 20™ applicants will meet the following eligibility requirements:

$65,000 WESTERN UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS



President’s Entrance Scholarships
5 at $65,000 ($20,000 for year one, $15,000 annually for years two to four) and; Up to 15 at $50,000 ($10,000 annually, plus $10,000 towards first year residence)


Beryl Ivey Continuing Entrance Award
ONE at $64,000; payable $16,000 per academic year for a period of four years.


International Students President's Entrance Scholarships
3 at $50,000 ($10,000 annually, plus $10,000 towards first year residence costs) 


Faculty Entrance Scholarships
Up to 15 at $30,000 ($6,000 annually, plus $6,000 towards first year residence) 


National Scholarship Study Abroad Awards
Up to 30 at $2,500 for up to 4 months (one term), $5,000 for over 4 months (more than one term) 


National Merit Awards
Those students who are interviewed for a National Scholarship but not offered a scholarship and accepting offer of admission to main campus will receive a one-year National Merit Award valued at $2,000. Recipients will also retain eligibility for an Admission Scholarship ranging in value from $1,000 to $10,000.



Eligibility

National Scholarship applicants must be Canadian Citizens or a Permanent Resident of Canada. All applicants must have obtained a minimum overall academic average of 90% on all Grade 12 courses

$20,000 CIBC Luckiest Student Award

$500 LOGIN EDUCATION INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP


The Login Education Scholarship Award is awarded to two, well-rounded International graduating students who meet the following criteria
  • have been enrolled in a Burnaby School District school for 2 years – grades 11 and 12
  • have maintained a good academic standing and demonstrated a strong work ethic
  • have demonstrated good citizenship and strong leadership in school and the community
  • have participated in community service and volunteer work in the school and the community
Applicants are to submit a 250 – 300 word essay describing the following:
  • your educational experience with Burnaby School District and what you learned through this experience and
  • why you consider yourself to be a good candidate for this award
