Are you interested in Film making or animation? Then this is the opportunity for you! The Adventures in Film opportunity is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Powell River, this exciting educational experience covers many facets of the filmmaking process. During the day, participants attend presentations by professional media artisits and do hands on video or animation production.  In the evenings participants wille enjoy festival films and receptions at the community theatre. Accomodation, meals and full supervision is provided. Steve Cowan Leadership in Action Scholarship
Have you made a difference in your community? Then this is the scholarship for you!! The Crisis Centre offers this scholarship to support individuals who have made a positve contribution to their school and or community.

Criteria

• Demonstrated commitment & service to community issues

• Record of participation in volunteer activities in school or community

• Demonstrated capacity for leadership

• Letters of recommendation
• Evaluation of candidate’s essay and self-assessment

Rick Blight Leadership in Action Scholarship for Athletes

The Crisis Centre is offering the Rick Blight Leadership in Action Scholarship for Athletes to recognize and support athletes who have demonstrated a dedication to their sport. They have modeled leadership in action through investing in their personal wellness and/or the health and wellness of their sports team or community.

If you are an athlete who is passionate about leadership and has made efforts to support your personal health and wellness or that of your sports team or community, we want to hear from you.

up to $50,000 UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

This Scholarship covers tuition and fees for 4 years of study, and support for residence the first year and an 
additional renewable monetary award.

There are over 30 Loran awards valuing up to$80,000 awarded across Canada. Potential candidates must exhibit strong academic performance (85% average) and moral character, commitment to serving others, great potential as leaders, independent thinking, and a willingness to take meaningful risks.

• TRANSCRIPTS are available with 2 days notice from the office. Complete a request form and submit to Ms. Sorochan. Request forms are on the Main office counter.

• Please provide teachers with 2 weeks notice to complete REFERENCE LETTERS. See Ms.Morabito in room A233 to pick up a Reference Letter Request Form or access the link to one on the scholarship link on the school website.
