This bursary is designed to assist a student (family must be on income assistance) who, due to financial considerations would not otherwise be able to attend SFU. It is valued at $6000/year for up to 4 years.
The intended recipient must:
• demonstrate financial need
• have been accepted into (and must ultimately attend) the first year of a full time undergraduate degree program

FAIRFAX FINANCIAL HOLDINGS LIMITED ENTRANCE BURSARY
The purpose of this bursary is to assist worthy student applicants, for whom the cost of attending university would be a serious impediment to accepting their admission to Simon Fraser University.
The intended recipient must:
• demonstrate financial need
• be a Canadian citizen or have been granted permanent residence in Canada
• have been accepted into (and must ultimately attend) the first year of a full time undergraduate degree program with a scheduled duration not longer than five years
• have an 80% average in their graduating year (which must have terminated no later than 18 months prior to the beginning of the academic year) at a Canadian secondary school
• not have previously received a Fairfax Award
