UP TO $40,000 BEEDIE LUMINARIES SCHOLARSHIPS

Awards resilient BC students who are facing financial adversity, have the academic readiness, grit, desire and potential to create positive change in their lives, and in the lives of others. There are 105 scholarships available for Grade 12 students from across BC.

Each student will receive either $10,000 per year for a four-year bachelor degree program (up to $40,000) or $7,500 per year for a two-year diploma or trades program (up to $15,000)

ELIGIBILITY:
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident for at least three years
  • Be a BC resident, residing in the Lower Mainland
  • Be in their final year of high school, entering into full-time studies in a first bachelor degree, first diploma, or first trades program at one of the 25 eligible post secondary institutions (listed on application link)
  • Have a minimum cumulative average of 75 % 
  • Demonstrate your or your family's financial adversity
  • Be endorsed by your school

$40,000 Cmolik Scholars Scholarship

The Cmolik Foundation awards scholarships to deserving BC students who have faced adversity but through hard work and determination have been successful in graduating from secondary school. 

ELIGIBILITY:
  • Be a BC resident 
  • Lived in Canada for a minimum of 7 years
  • Plan to graduate from BC secondary school
  • Plan to attend full time post secondary school
  • Be ineligible for the BC Tuition Waiver Program (for former youth in care)
  • Have demonstrated financial need
  • Have faced adversity or hardship
  • Have exhibited a good work ethic
  • Evidence of leadership involvement
Please submit the following by February 1st to Ms.Morabito to be considered for nomination:

1. Draft Cmolik scholarship application

2. Official transcript

3. 2 reference letters (one from a teacher that can verify your eligibility) Use 
     the "Request for reference Letter"  to ask a teacher and a community       
     member. Ensure you give them two weeks notice.
