Faculty of Mathematics @ Waterloo Entrance Scholarships - no application necessary
The Faculty of Mathematics awards 200 entrance scholarships in values of:
  • $10,000 over four years
  • $8,000 over four years
  • one year scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000
To be considered you must be a current high school student admissible to the Faculty of Mathematics, fill out and submit an Admission Information Form (AIF) and write the Euclid Mathematics Contest and/or the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest

UP TO $1500 BC SCHOOL SPORTS SCHOLARSHIPS

The Member Schools of BC School Sports are pleased to announce this year’s BC School Sports Scholarship Fund.  The association is dedicated to assisting worthy student-athletes in their desire to attend an accredited Canadian University or College. BC School Sports Scholarships reward excellence in both scholastic and athletic pursuits.  The successful applicants will be student-athletes who have balanced their high academic achievements with significant success as school athletes and contributions to their community. Scholarships shall be awarded to students enrolled in member schools who apply, and who meet all of the criteria. 

  1. BC Dairy Scholarship - Volleyball and Ultimate   
  2. Bert & Greta Quartermaine Scholarship - Badminton   
  3. Dave Gifford Memorial Scholarship - All BCSS Sports   
  4. Zone Scholarships - All BCSS Sports

$1000 CITY OF BURNABY BURSARY


The Bursary Award Policy and Program was adopted to offer 8 graduating Burnaby public secondary school students financial assistance for their post-secondary endeavors. To summarize, each Burnaby public secondary school will nominate 3 potential bursary award recipients, based on the established criteria. To be eligible for a City of Burnaby Bursary, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of the City of Burnaby; 
  • Be in Grade 12 and eligible to graduate (within the year of application) from a public secondary school in Burnaby School District 41
  • Be accepted to a program of studies at a post-secondary institution in Canada, such as universities, community colleges, technical schools – proof of registration in a minimum of three courses in a post-secondary institution shall be required before any bursary award payment is made to a recipient; 
  • Preference will be given to a student who has participated in a community program prior to graduating and can demonstrate outstanding community involvement and volunteerism; and,
  •  Students who demonstrate financial need (family income below $50,000) will be given priority.

$100,000 STEM scholarship deadline approaching!

A Schulich Leader Nominee represents the top STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) student in your graduating class and in turn becomes eligible to win a $100,000 or $80,000 scholarship. This entrepreneurial-minded student exemplifies at least two of the following criteria: 

  • Academic Excellence = Exceptional grades
  • Demonstrated leadership  (community, business or entrepreneurial)
  • Financial need (planning to apply for financial assistance to attend university)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Graduate high school in the 2019/2020 academic year
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident 
  • Be entrepreneurial-minded 
  • Plan to enroll in STEM at one of our partner universities
  • Meet at least two of the following criteria: Academic excellence, Leadership (community, business or entrepreneurial), Financial need 
  • Not planning a career as a medical practitioner

Must be entrepreneurial minded, intending to pursue a career in:
  • Innovation
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Scientific Research
They are NOT looking for students pursuing careers in :
  • Medicine
  • Medical Research
Please submit the following in an envelope to Ms.Morabito:
  • Scholarship Profile (on school website)
  • Transcript
  • Two reference letters with at least one from an academic source and one from a community source.  Use the "Request for reference Letter" form to ask a teacher and a community member. Ensure you give them two weeks notice.
