$10,000 RBC ROYAL BANK SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

RBC is awarding 6 $10,000 scholarships. These scholarships are awarded based on extracurricular activities and short essays on specific topics. You must have a minimum 70% cumulative average. Applications at http://scholarships.rbc.com/Undergraduate.aspx

$3000 BCIT PATHWAYS TO SUCCESS SCHOLARSHIP

Are you planning to go to BCIT?  BCIT is awarding 2 $3000 scholarships for 2  Burnaby GRADS. Students must be applying to a full time technology, technical studies or a trade program (excludes Apprenticeships) See Ms. Morabito in room C224 for applications DEADLINE: January 6th by 3:00pm

$40,000 UBC ENTRANCE AWARDS

This award is different from the Major Entrance Scholarships.The UBC Entrance Awards assist students in their transition from secondary school to university. The purpose of this program is to financially support academically qualified students who show an interest in joining the UBC community, but who would not otherwise be able to attend without significant financial assistance. $5000 TOYOTA EARTH DAY SCHOLARSHIP


This is an exciting opportunity for Grads to earn a $5000 entrance scholarship towards their post-secondary education in any field of their choice!


The Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program encourages and rewards graduating Canadian high school students who have distinguished themselves through environmental community service, extracurricular and volunteer activities, and academic excellence. 

Candidates:
  •  have achieved excellence in their academics  
  • have demonstrated outstanding environmental commitment, community service and leadership during the course of their studies
  • Are a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident (landed immigrant) or on Refugee Status.
  • Are not an employee or immediate family member of an employee of Toyota Canada Inc. and its Dealers, Toyota Canada Foundation, Earth Day Canada or Panasonic Canada Inc.

UBC MAJOR ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP

I COULDN'T GET THE APPLICATION ONTO THE BLOG (ALL MY FORMATTING HAD TO BE RE-DONE) SO COPIES OF THE APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ROOM C224.

The Major Entrance Scholarship (MES) program offers the most prestigious awards available to entering students at The University of British Columbia, including one-time awards of at least $5,000 and renewable awards of up to $40,000 payable over four years. Burnaby Central will nominate up to six students for these scholarships.

Students MUST:
  • have a 90% or higher academic average in grades 11 and 12
  • be a canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • show an ability to lead (directly or indirectly) in at least one of the following areas: artistic endeavours, original intellectual pursuits, community service, athletics, and school activities
  • participate in activities in your school and/or community

To apply for nomination, complete the in school application and submit by 3:00 pm, TUESDAY, JANUARY 3rd
