$5000 HORATIO ALGER JIM PATTISON SCHOLARSHIP

This Scholarship is awarded to full-time students in British Columbia with financial need who have demonstrated integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as strength of character, a good academic record, a commitment to pursue a post-secondary education, and a desire to contribute to society.

Eligibility criteria:

•  Plan to enter a post-secondary institution no later than the fall following graduation. 
• Exhibit a strong commitment to pursuing and completing a degree at an accredited public or private post-secondary institution in Canada
• Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or less net income per family is required)
• Be involved in co-curricular and community activities
• Maintain a minimum grade percentage of 65%
• Attend a high school and reside in British Columbia
• Be a Canadian
