A Schulich Leader Nominee represents the top STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) student in your graduating class and in turn becomes eligible to win a $100,000 or $80,000 scholarship. This entrepreneurial-minded student exemplifies at least two of the following criteria:
- Academic Excellence = Exceptional grades
- Demonstrated leadership (community, business or entrepreneurial)
- Financial need (planning to apply for financial assistance to attend university)
- Graduate high school in the 2020/2021 academic year
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Be entrepreneurial-minded
- Plan to enroll in STEM at one of our partner universities
- Meet at least two of the following criteria: Academic excellence, Leadership (community, business or entrepreneurial), Financial need
- Not planning a career as a medical practitioner OR Medical Research
- Must be entrepreneurial minded, intending to pursue a career in: Innovation, Technology, Engineering OR Scientific Research

- Responses to the following:
- What are your top three achievements? 50 words maximum/achievement
- Essay explaining why you should win. 600 words maximum
- Optional essay outlining extenuating circumstances. 250 words maximum
- Where do you see yourself in 10 years? 50 words maximum
- Two reference letters with at least one from an academic source and one from a community source. Use the "Request for reference Letter" to ask a teacher and a community member. Ensure you give them two weeks notice.
