This is for a student graduating from a BC Secondary School who has combined hard work with school and community involvement, and who wishes to further their education/training in BC. This student will be a recent immigrant who has been granted permanent resident status in Canada.
$750.00 SYLVIA HELMER SCHOLARSHIP. This is for a student graduating from a BC Secondary School who has combined hard work with school and community involvement, and who wishes to further her/his education/training in BC. This student will have started their schooling in BC as a student with refugee status in Canada.
One of the requirements for both is that the student took some ELL classes at the secondary level.
